Ankerbräu Nördlingen is the beer-in-box pioneer
The Bavarian micro-brewer Ankerbräu in Nördlingen developed the beer-in-box system and the related technology. They use this concept to increase their beer sales to long distance and export customers since 2008.

The Ankerbräu Nördlingen is a smaller regional, private brewer in Nördlingen (Germany / Bavaria). They produce a wide range of specialty and seasonal quality beers. Of course their recipes are in accordance with the the purity law from 1516.
Their main focus is the 30 km area around Nördlingen. With the beer-in-box system Ankerbräu is now able to distribute their beer specialties into countries all over the world. In 2011 almost 50% of the Ankerbräu beer production was distributed in beer-in-box.
Next brewer is coming on board.
Due to the successful development and usage of the beer-in-box system at Ankerbräu the management decided to found the company CARBOTEK with the mission to bring this great concept and the related technology to the brewing industry. CARBOTEK closed it's first deal with the brewer Aktienbrauerei in Kaufbeuren in June 2011. This 100.000 hl brewer is convinced from the significant advantages beer-in-box will bring for his business. By January 2012 the Aktienbrauerei will start with its own beer-in-box production.
